KinoKulture specialises in the programming of independent, specialist and non mainstream cinema. We are passionate about film and about offering our audiences the opportunity to experience and learn about new and diverse forms of cinema in a comfortable, friendly and open atmosphere.
The KinoKulture Cinema:
Our aim is to provide a welcoming, informative and relaxing cinema experience. Our Autumn / Winter season will run from The Attfield Theatre in Oswestry on a monthly basis, further screenings are being planned at other Oswestry and North Shropshire venues.
Our mobile facilities offer professional quality DLP, Blu Ray / DVD projection as well as 35mm, 16mm, 8mm and Super 8 film projection. Our 4M x 3M fast fold screen ensures a large bright image for a real "Cinematic" experience as well as high qaulity sound equipment capable of reproducing every detail of a films sound track.
Previously with the aid of Film Agency Wales we ran a regular programme of KinoCafe informal film nights at the Workhouse, Llanfyllin, screening a selection of experimental, European, Artist's moving image, Documentary and Classic feature films, alongside selected short film programmes from Europe and China.
Over the past few years we have programmed the screening for the Ffilmic Film Festival and the media lounge at the Workhouse Festival.
Kinokulture are available for programming and delivering professional quality screenings for local communities, festivals, conferences and other events.
In addition to our film exhibition programme we are developing 'KinoLab' our educational strand.
The KinoLab is at the heart of everything we do by encouraging active learning, creativity and providing opportunities for young people and local communities to help build and create their own culture.
Kinokulture is a not for profit organisation with the aim of creating and delivering access to film culture. We are experienced in the programming, delivery and management of arts and cultural activities and events and over the years have developed strong working relationships with a number of film festivals, cultural and community organisations and independent film makers.
